Early morning, two Saturdays ago, one of the High Level hotels burned to the ground; thank you’s go out to the High Level Fire Department for bringing the blaze under control and limiting its scope.
Listening to – Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Radio Nowhere,’The Who’s ‘I Can See For Miles’ and the Primitives’ ‘Crash.’
Quote to Consider – “The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.’ – Dorothea Lange
I have not heard about any injuries; the blaze seems to be something that may have started in the wee hours and took hold. Thanks for looking in.
Take care … 😉
Great pictures, excellent clarity and sharpness of detail. I like the new layout too, nice and clear. I’ve been very remiss with my own blog lately. Lots of changes in life so I hope to get back to it soon.

Hey there, Jim:
I’ve got my camera out, looking around a little closer to you than usual – I’m in Iceland.
Changes in Life – all sorts of things can be going on … family, job etc.. In our neck of the woods the oil prices have halted oil exploration and many wells are being abandoned. While families aren’t moving from our area – job loss is big in Alberta. The snow cover on the prairies has been lack-lustre and things are shaping toward a drier than usual summer and then toward possible forest fire; fire bans are already in place and the snow has yet to melt.
Amazing photos. I hope no one was injured.
